Leadership: Leadership is the ability of an individual or a group of individuals to influence and guide followers or other members of an organization. At The Real Estate Academy, we value our instructors’ expertise in the Real Estate field. With over 55 years in Real Estate, our instructors will guide you through the highest available instruction with hands-on training to prepare you to become a dynamic Real Estate Agent in Mississippi.
The Pre-Exam Course (Pre-License)
Includes sixty hours of courses in real estate education approved by the Mississippi Real Estate Commission as required. No more than eight hours of education can be delivered within a twenty-four hour period.
Students must be present in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Registration/Payment
Registration and payment information is online. Each course costs $599.00. This includes textbooks and relevant materials. For more information and registration, go to www.therealestateacademy.org
Refunds
Cancellations must be made at least 3 business days prior to the start date of the course to receive a refund. Refunds will be mailed back to the student.
Illness
Students who are ill and cannot complete the Real Estate Course will be allowed to enroll in the next available course.

Class Cancellations
TREA reserves the right to cancel a class due to inclement weather conditions.
Attendance
Attendance is mandatory. All missed hours must be made up.
Attendance can be alternated with live classroom and online assignments.
Students have the opportunity to return to a similar class within a six months time frame.

Learner Support Site
Students will have access to Google Classroom for the entirety of the course. Students will be able to access Google Classroom upon the completion of the course to review for the examination.
The Professional Testing Company
The Mississippi Real Estate Commission has contracted with PSI Services LLC (PSI) to conduct the examination testing. PSI provides examinations through a network of computer examinations centers in and around the Mississippi area. PSI works closely with the State of Mississippi to be certain that examinations meet local as well as national requirements in basic principles and examination development standards.

Salesperson’s License Qualifications
Every applicant for a resident license as a real estate salesperson shall be age eighteen years or over, shall be a bonafide resident of the State of Mississippi prior to filing his/her application, shall have successfully completed a minimum of sixty (60) hours in courses in Real Estate as hereafter specified, and shall have successfully completed the Real Estate salesperson’s examination.

Technology Support
Students are expected to have basic computer skills including opening and sending emails, creating documents using Word or Google Docs, and accessing the Internet.
Google Classroom support will be provided in the course.
Plagiarism/Academic Honesty
Academic Honesty
Academic pursuits require the exploration of ideas from a multitude of sources. A responsible scholar always gives credit to the ideas of others. Ethical treatment of sources as well as honesty in testing and assignments are hallmarks of academic integrity.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism occurs when an individual borrows words, ideas, original material, or data from another person, group, or organization without acknowledging the original source of the material.
Cheating
Cheating is defined as the act of obtaining or attempting to obtain or aiding another to obtain academic credit for work by the use of any dishonest, deceptive or fraudulent means. Examples of cheating during an examination include: copying from another’s test or examination; discussion of answers or ideas relating to the answers on an examination or test; possession, giving or receiving copies of an examination or exam questions without the permission of the instructor; using or displaying notes, “cheat sheets,” or other information or devices inappropriate to the prescribed test conditions; allowing someone other than the officially enrolled student to represent the student at the examination.
Penalties for Academic Dishonesty
The penalty for any offense set out above will be either withdrawal from the course or failure in the course.
Grading
The Real Estate Academy does not give traditional grades; however, a passing grade includes participation in all class activities, discussions, and evaluations. Failure to do so will result in failing the course. Students must pass the final examination with 70% accuracy.
Course Outline
The course outline given to students during orientation will outline the entire course and course materials for students.
Assignments
All assignments will be done in class or on Google Classroom. Homework will be given each night in Google Classroom.
Deadlines
Each assignment is due on scheduled deadline. Failure to do the assignments will result in failing the course.
Final Exam
Students will take a final exam mimicking the Real Estate National and State Exams.
Code of Conduct
Students must use video and be present on the camera at all times without the use of still pictures or icons.
Students must be present the entire course.
Students must behave appropriately and pay attention as if they were sitting in the classroom.
Students cannot be participating in other activities unrelated to the course.
Students must not participate in general or personal comments using the course chat tool.
