The Real Estate Academy
Registration Policies
- Registration must be accompanied with payment. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
- Payment may be made by check or credit card.
- Registration is online. www.therealestateacademy.org
- Refunds will be issued only for cancellations received at least 3 business days prior to the start of class.
- A $25 cancellation fee will be accessed.
- Certification of the course will only be given to students who have paid in full and complete the course.
Attendance
- All missed hours must be approved by TREA, who will determine make up time.
- Mississippi Real Estate License Law requires that all students complete 60 hours of instruction to receive certification of completion.
- Students are not allowed to take the course for other students under any circumstances.
Assessment
- Modules reflect the Course Outline, and all assignments must be completed.
- All modules will have a section quiz. Mastery must be 70%.
- Students cannot proceed without obtaining a minimum of a 70% mastery of each module.
- At the completion of the classes, students must master the general examination.
Course Participation
- Learners are required to actively participate in the classroom activities.
- Learners may tutor, teach, or explain a subject to other learners.
- Learners must use video and be present on the camera at all times without the use of pictures or icons, and learners must be present the entire course time.
- Learners must not participate in general or personal comments using the course’s chat tool.
Criteria for Successful Completion of the Course
- Each lesson’s directions must be followed.
- Upon successful completion of all modules and a 75% on the course final, a learner will have earned the Certificate of Completion.
- Each exam will be either multiple choices, true or false, and/or open-ended questions.
Retakes/Repeating the Course
- A student may retake an examination for six months at no cost at any time, until they pass or decide not to pursue a career in real estate.
- A student may continue to work online in the course until he/she masters the material.
